Frankfurt-based IHS GmbH, a provider of technology and marketing solutions to the global hotel industry, announces the sale of its affiliated company, IFH®, a global provider of training and benchmarking offerings, to Solutions Unlimited, parent company of Performance Unlimited, a leading innovator in the field of learning through experience engineering.
The transaction, which came into effect on 27th January, marks the next step of growth for both IFH® and Solutions Unlimited, enabling them to expand their current product offering and client base to become better positioned in the global training and benchmarking industry. It is also of great benefit to IHS' affiliated company Worldhotels: The leading group of independent hotels worldwide will capitalise on IFH's and Solutions Unlimited's synergies to enhance the quality and training services it is providing to its hotels. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The agreement is in line with IHS' new strategy going forward - the group aims to sharpen its focus on providing hotel franchise and representation services, along with technology and distribution solutions. The group now operates three business units under its umbrella, serving as a one-stop shop for the global hospitality industry: one of the leading groups for independent hotels worldwide, Worldhotels; the leading CRS provider Trust International and the sales management solutions provider Nexus World Services. The company network supports 20,000 hotels in 65 countries, reaching approximately 120 million guests and helping its hospitality customers generate more than $3 billion in room revenue each year.
