HotelsByMe Launches Universal Application for iPad and iPhone

Leading mobile travel retailer, HotelsByMe, announces the release of a new universal application that makes it even easier to find the perfect hotel on the go. As one of the top travel apps on the Apple App Store, HP/Palm's webOS App Catalog and Google's Android Market, HotelsByMe now adds iPad to their suite of mobile platforms.

The new update makes the HotelsByMe travel application universal. Now the same application is viewable on both iPhone and iPad with user interfaces tailored to each device. While there are a number of sites that offer hotel reservations, most do not address the needs of mobile shoppers. The end result is an online shopping experience that can be very time consuming for consumers trying to find the right hotel for the right price.

With HotelsByMe's newly released app, now users can find a hotel on the iPad in just three easy steps:

    
    Step 1: FIND. Hotels are plotted on a map to give users a visual cue of
    the physical location of each property.
    Step 2: VIEW. Relevant information - such as room rates, guest reviews
    and photos - are presented in a concise, easy-to-read format.
    Step 3: BOOK. The new simplified, single-screen check-out process is
    only two taps away from the initial search screen.

While HotelsByMe has simplified its new app, it hasn't sacrificed functionality. In fact, the HotelsByMe app has added new features. During a hotel search, shoppers can now seamlessly switch between multiple hotel views: on a map, as a list or by individual hotel properties. Using the new filter feature, shoppers can also locate the perfect hotel based on their specific needs. Finally, HotelsByMe has integrated TripAdvisor reviews, enabling users to make their choice based on "wisdom of the crowd."
