- Hertz becomes first car rental company to offer free access to FTA's online store
LONDON, July 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hertz Corporation (NYSE: HTZ), the world's largest general use car rental brand, has extended its relationship with the Freight Transport Association (FTA) by announcing the launch of the Hertz FTA Shop, an online marketplace for travel goods. Hertz UK customers can now access FTA's comprehensive range of transport supplies for purchase at FTA Member discount prices at http://hertzshop.fta.co.uk. Items on offer include maintenance, security and satellite navigation products, as well as health and safety equipment, drivers' work wear and international travel accessories.

The launch of the online shop comes as an extension of the relationship between the two organisations after Hertz pledged its support of the FTA's Van Excellence Code; a comprehensive code of conduct for van operators to benefit businesses, the environment and all other road users.
The site will feature co-branding between the two parties and can be accessed at http://hertzshop.fta.co.uk. Hertz will also promote the store through banner activity on its UK homepage, as well as through marketing promotions offering a free Fuel Grip to Hertz customers making their first purchase.
