HDD, China's Largest Hospitality Expo, Set for April 1-3

SHANGHAI, March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- HDD, the largest hospitality exhibition in China, introduces new trends and solutions for the hospitality design market by featuring affiliated categories like catering services and equipment, hotel amenities, food & beverage, furniture, building, interior design, lighting and cleaning. The exhibition will take place at Shanghai New International Expo Center and JSWB from April 1 to April 3, 2013.

HDD includes over 2,800 international and domestic exhibitors and attracts 100,000 targeted audience members, including designers, architects, hotel managers, hotel developers, restaurants, real estate, entertainment places, shopping malls, supermarkets, project contractors, and research institutions, accommodated by a total area of 230,000 square meters.

HDD proudly announces the new launching of the Winexpo, which will operate alongside the concurrent Hotelex 2013 in a 6,000 square meter space with over 150 exhibitors, and other new events.

During this period, the exhibition will manifest bustling entertaining and challenging competitions with awards like the Star Hotel Uniforms Show Competition, Star Hotel Western Buffet Display Challenge, China Master Bartender Competition, China Barista Championship (CBC) for the coffee masters, 2013 Gelato China Cup (New) & China Latte Art Championship (New).

HDD presents an art-fusion of catering design and interior design through different performances and displays. The 21st Century Kitchen Display showcases new products and ideas for the future kitchen, while Bakery Happy Land (New) supplies baking knowledge using the latest designs and technology. Others include the Pizza Throwing Show, Italian Chefs on Stage (New), "Taste of United States 2013" - the Asian Master Chef Challenge, The Retail Space Fashion Show (New), The Coffee Machine Museum (New) and Hotel Plus. Hotel Plus, a mockup hotel room that demonstrates a hotel design space featuring new interior styles and technologies by using energy saving amenities for hotels, is organised by the China Tourist Hotels Association and other hotel groups such as Greenland International Hotels Group, Wanda Hotels & Resorts, BTG-Jianguo Hotels & Resort Group, the New Century Hotels & Resort Group, the Intercontinental Hotels Group and Well Tech Studio.

Coherent design forums and conferences combining all the talents of design and architecture will take place in 2013 through the Shanghai Interior Design Festival, including: China Hotel Space Design and Engineering Technology Forum, Ecobuild China Conference, Shanghai International Building & Interior Design Conference and 2013 Interior Decoration Material Trends. Catering and retail educational forums include Foodservice in The 21st Century and the 2013 China Retail Industry Innovation Management Summit.
