The new addition to Cohiba's Línea Clásica marks the start of celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the world's most iconic Habanos brand, with its global launch taking place in London.

HAVANA, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Habanos, S.A. officially launches the "Year of Cohiba" with the global unveiling of Cohiba Talismán - the latest addition to the brand's Línea Clásica - at an international premiere held in London.

This launch marks the first major milestone in the celebrations of Cohiba's 60th anniversary - a historic date for Habanos' flagship brand and a global benchmark in premium tobacco. Cohiba celebrates six decades of history, excellence, and international acclaim, reaffirming the exceptional character that has made it a true icon of luxury.

Originally introduced in 2017 as a Limited Edition, Cohiba Talismán is now joining the brand's regular portfolio as the ninth vitola in the *Línea Clásica* - the first line created for Cohiba and one of the most emblematic expressions of the brand's identity since its inception in 1966.

A new addition to the Línea Clásica

As part of this new phase, Cohiba Talismán introduces refreshed packaging, which will be progressively rolled out across the rest of the Línea Clásica. It comes in a 10-count "Boîte Nature" box featuring NFC technology embedded in the label inside the packaging. This technology allows for product authenticity verification and offers the aficionado a digital experience linked to the Habano. Additionally, this Habano features a foot band displaying the vitola's name, a detail that reinforces its exclusive character while making identification easier.

The Cohiba Talismán is presented in the Sublimes No. 1 format, with a 54-ring gauge x 154 mm in length. Its extra-thick gauge and parejo with pigtail format offers a medium-to-full-bodied smoking experience lasting approximately 60 to 90 minutes.

Each Habano is crafted "Totally Handmade with Long Filler", using leaves from the "selection of the selection" sourced from the finest Vegas of San Juan y Martínez* and San Luis*, in the Vuelta Abajo* zone of the Pinar del Río* region, considered the finest in the world. Furthermore, its unique character is distinguished by an additional fermentation process, which gives Cohiba its unmistakable aroma and flavour, captivating even the most discerning aficionados.

A world premiere in London

The global launch of Cohiba Talismán took place on Wednesday October 7th in London, at a venue that hosted the first major milestone of the celebrations marking Cohiba's 60th anniversary.

The event brought together around 400 guests - including distributors, international media, Habanos enthusiasts, representatives from Hunter & Frankau (the Habanos distributor for the United Kingdom) and executives from Habanos, S.A. - who had the opportunity to discover and taste the new vitola for the first time.

The evening featured an exhibition dedicated to some of Cohiba's most iconic products, live music, and a selection of cocktails specially created for the occasion by The Dalmore and Eminente Rum, all within a setting designed to celebrate the start of an exceptional year for the brand.

As a memento of the occasion, each guest received a Cohiba Talismán gift pack, marking this launch as the first chapter of a year dedicated to commemorating six decades of Cohiba's history, excellence, and legacy.

The Cohiba Talismán is a magnificent Habano; it offers a perfect draw, dense gray smoke, and woody notes. Its combustion is excellent, producing a compact ash.

As it progresses, the Habano remains balanced, while woody notes become more pronounced, accompanied by medium-to-full strength, a lingering aftertaste, and subtle herbal nuances.

In the final third, the Habano reaches maximum density, with distinct woody notes and subtle hints of roasted coffee.
