Regionally, whilst the South West and North East considered themselves unluckiest, the Northern Irish considered themselves the most fortunate - must be those lucky leprechauns again!
But spare a thought for the 1 in 10 Brits who believe bird droppings on the head are good luck... Shampoo manufacturers perhaps?
