Glitchsoft, acclaimed mobile game developer, and Marvel, one of the world's most prominent character-based entertainment companies, today released the Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past mobile game. The action side-scroller pays tribute to classic Uncanny X-Men comic books #141 and #142 and is available on the iTunes app store. The app will also be coming soon to select AndroidTM devices.
Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past recreates one of the most iconic stories from the X-Men comic book universe. Based on John Byrne and Chris Claremont's original comics, the game tells the story of the Sentinel Uprising. In the future, the world is in ruins, and the X-Men have failed to protect it. The X-Men have been granted one chance to re-write history and return to the past to stop this war from starting.
Players will experience fast-paced action as they navigate with one of five mutants - Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Cyclops and Scarlet Witch - while they fight for the future of mutant- and human-kind in two separate timelines. The five hours of unique gameplay span across 23 stages set in iconic X-Men locations such as post-apocalyptic New York City, X-Mansion, Washington D.C., Savage Lands, Asteroid M and more. Each stage provides varied gameplay and loads of hidden secrets revealing concept art, character bios and more.
Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past debuts for Apple® iPhone® 4 (or newer), iPad® 2 (or newer) and iPod touch® 5th Gen worldwide today for $2.99. There are no in-app purchases as all characters, upgrades, costumes and future content are included in the $2.99 price.
