Nine Swimmers Along With Their Respective Primary Coaches Declared Winners
Glenmark Aquatic Foundation today announced the recipients of Glenmark National Age Group Swimming Scholarship - 2015. Nine young swimmers along with their respective primary coaches were awarded one year's scholarship based on objective evaluation criteria.

Taking into account the timings recorded at the recently concluded 42nd Junior Glenmark National Aquatic Championships in Pune, a logarithm was used to arrive at a total score, which took into consideration time standard achievements (compared as per USA Swimming Age Group standards). Acknowledging the role of formal education in the all-round development of an athlete, a 25% weightage was also given to academic performance of the swimmers.

Along with swimmers, we also reward his or her respective coaches appreciating the role they play in the athletes' overall development. Glenmark National Age Group Swimming Scholarship grant will be effective for a 12-month period starting from 1st of October 2015.The awardees i.e. the swimmers as well as his/her primary coach shall receive various benefits in this time frame ranging from monthly stipends to an opportunity to participate in an international swimming meet.
