Generator Hire Specialists - Apex Generators Invests for Further Growth

Apex Generators are expanding rapidly, investing heavily in equipment, people and partnerships resulting in further success for this generator hire company.

Apex Generators have committed more than a £1m of capital expenditure to increase its hire fleet this year. This is the third year in succession that the company has spent more than a £1m on new generators and ancillaries. 70 new generators and 20 security generator enclosures will boost the fleet to 530 units. With generators from 10kW to 1000kW (1MW) Apex have generators suitable for any application and multiple units can be joined together to provide multi megawatt packages.   

To support the continued growth in their fleet, Apex Generators are also investing in the next generation of engineers by offering an annual apprenticeship program.  The apprentices follow a structured training plan, working with Apex's team of experienced engineers and studying for the HNC in Electrical Engineering. Service Manager Jerry Lee said "Training apprentices is great for our business. It allows us to train engineers specifically on our equipment and to our high standards. The investment we make in these lads is worth every penny".

Apex, which is headquartered in Glasgow, has also expanded its geographic reach and sector presence through a partnership with Aberdeen based offshore and onshore oil & gas specialists, HazHire Ltd.

The agreement will mean that Apex equipment located at HazHire's premises in Aberdeen will be deployed directly to Apex's existing customers in its core industrial and construction markets thereby reducing response times and cutting the cost of transporting equipment.

With specific knowledge and experience of the sector, and the support of Apex's modern and well invested fleet, Hazhire will offer Rig Safe generators alongside their existing Zone 2 equipment for operation within hazardous areas.
