MIAMI, July 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
On the 10th to the 12th of September 2012, a leading consortium of C-level executives will settle into the Four Seasons Hotel, Miami, Florida, for two days as they attend GDS International's highly renowned Chief Information Officer US (CIO US) summit.
Taking place over two-and-a-half days, the summit will incorporate roundtable meetings, working lunches, peer-led panel discussions and vibrant workshops. In addition to group networking sessions, delegates will also be given the opportunity to participate in more intimate one-on-one sessions to establish working relationships and discuss operational strategies at an inherently granular level.
There will be an unprecedented delegation of thought leaders at September's event, including: John Collier, Corporate VP & Chief Technology Architect for Wal-Mart Stores; Melvin Greer, Chief Strategist & Senior Fellow for Lockheed Martin; John Crary, CIO for American Red Cross; Kelly Shen, CIO Business Intelligence for General Electric; and Clif Triplett, CIO for Baker Hughes. There will also be a range of sponsors in attendance, including Samsung Mobile, Kaspersky Labs, Good Technology, NaviSite - a Time Warner Company; and Blue Coat.
Phara McLachlan, CIO for Animus Solutions was an attendee at last year's event, and found the summit exceeded her expectations, saying: "Compared to other events there is no comparison. This is, by far, the best." In agreement, David White, President, North American Operations for Ipanema Technologies said: "I'm very impressed with the quality of the delegates and the quality of the staff."
With almost two decade's worth of industry experience, GDS International is the most established and well-respected global events company today. Their extensive repertoire, which covers a range of verticals, has been carefully refined over the years to provide attendees with a firm platform from which to assess emerging trends and strategies to promote operational effectiveness in 2012 and beyond.
Ryan Kanis - Summit Director for GDS International's CIO US event, says: "We are extremely excited for the upcoming CIO North America Summit. With pertinent topics being discussed onsite surrounding very real and common pain points, the summit serves to facilitate the industry's real-time conversation. A dynamic mix of CIOs, CTOs and a host of other influential IT executives have helped shape the program, along with Meredith Whalen, Senior Vice President, U.S. Insights and Vertical Markets Research at IDC. Together, we have helped shape a phenomenal agenda that I am confident will be the best summit we have run to date."
