'Fun-in-the-sun' Prize Draw to Win a Mazda MX-5

To welcome the warmer weather, Mazda is offering every driver in Britain the chance to win an iconic Mazda MX-5 - the world's best-selling two seater sports car - for four summer months in its new 'fun-in-the-sun' free competition.

Starting today (13 May), drivers can visit the competition's website (http://www.mazda.co.uk/funinthesun) for details of how to book a Mazda MX-5 test-drive at their local Mazda dealer where their name will be entered into a free prize draw.  The Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe features the world's fastest folding powered roof - open or closed in just 12 seconds, an ideal speed for the sometimes fickle UK summer weather.

To promote the 'fun-in-the-sun' competition, Mazda is working with players from Great Britain Ultimate (the UK's top frisbee team), Justin Foord and Dominic Clark, to create a viral film, which shows two Mazda MX-5s playing a game of extreme frisbee. In the game, seven-time British Motorsport Champion and multiple Guinness World Record holder, Paul Swift, drives the MX-5 while the frisbee player throws the frisbee from the car, meanwhile the other player catches the frisbee in the other MX-5 driven by stunt driver, Gordon Clendinning. Over the bank holiday weekend (25-27 May) a Mazda MX-5 Venture Edition will also appear in various parks in London and on Brighton seafront, 'sunbathing' on a giant car-sized beach towel bearing the message 'Win a Mazda MX-5 for the summer. Book a test drive today'.

To heighten the holiday atmosphere, the Mazda MX-5 will be joined by a pro frisbee player doing stunts and distributing give-away frisbees to encourage participants to have even more fun-in-the-sun.

Closing date for entries in the 'Win a Mazda MX-5 for the summer' competition will be 31 May.

Prices for the 10-model Mazda MX-5 range start at £18,495 on-the-road (OTR) for the 126ps, 1.8-litre SE Air Con soft-top with five-speed manual transmission and peak at £23,695 for the 160ps, 2.0-litre Powershift roadster coupe with six-speed automatic transmission.  The trio of 2013 Venture Edition models, with 17-inch Bright finish alloy wheels, heated tan leather sports seats and tan leather door inserts, plus tan fabric roof (on soft-top), cost from £18,895 to £22,295 (OTR).

Until the end of June 2013, Mazda is offering a great combination of offers across its MX-5 model line-up.  Depending on model, customers can benefit from zero deposit, a choice of 0% APR* or 5.9% APR** finance, a loyalty bonus of £500, for current Mazda owners (with no requirement to part-exchange their existing vehicle) and an additional 'customer saving' of £750.
