Frost & Sullivan's 'Urban Mobility 3.0' Workshop Brings Together the Who's Who for New Mobility Business Models

LONDON, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On 26th June, Frost & Sullivan will be holding its 2014 sixth annual workshop, 'Urban Mobility 3.0: Future of Mobility and New Mobility Business Models' at the Honourable Artillery Company in London. The one-day event, taking place in its 6th consecutive year, will bring together high profile industry experts from mobility-related functions across the globe, including automotive, leasing, public transport, policy, carsharing, and technology experts in particular.
Five panel discussions will focus on key mega trends impacting mobility, new business models such as mobility integration and carsharing, public transport solutions, big data in automotive and autonomous driving as well as the future of eRetailing in the car industry. The full-day agenda will be complemented by the Frost & Sullivan Future of Mobility Awards Banquet, a black tie evening event full of automotive glamour and excellence.
Besides Entrepreneur and CEO of NEWRGY, Shai Agassi, as well as Daimler Mobility Services CEO, Robert Henrich, speakers confirmed so far include industry experts from Adam Opel AG, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association – ACEA, Avis Budget UK, Cisco, MIRA, TrueCar, the World Economic Forum as well as Zipcar.

Efforts are made to appeal to current and future generations of customers by rebranding as technology-led lifestyle stores and shaping the experience around futuristic mobility concepts such as electric vehicles, two wheelers, and sustainability.
Policy-led initiatives such as London's zero-emission taxi announcements and new concepts, such as the concept taxi by manufacturer Karsan, are key pillars for innovative mobility projects. Further investments and priorities are now being given to automated mobility, with significant R&D efforts and the exploration of new autonomous vehicle business models well underway. New services from Deutsche Bahn (Qixxit) and the expansion of Daimler's Moovel finally underline the progress made with regard to innovative and fully integrated mobility platforms.
