Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Top Firms at the Annual Malaysia Excellence Awards
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, April 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Frost & Sullivan honored and recognized top Malaysian companies at the 12th annual Malaysia Excellence Awards banquet held at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Mr. Hazmi Yusof, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Managing Director, Malaysia at Frost & Sullivan said that it is important to identify and recognize the achievements of companies in Malaysia. He added that it is important for companies to receive independent third-party endorsements especially in the current difficult economic climate.
"The validation from a credible third-party growth consultant such as Frost & Sullivan will give consumers a reason to choose a particular product or service over the others," Mr. Hazmi said.
"We will continue our tradition of hosting the awards banquet yearly to celebrate best-in-class companies that have demonstrated excellence in their respective industries," he added.
The 2016 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards recognized best practices and outstanding performance by companies in different sectors such as automation & electronics, automotive, chemicals, energy, environment & building, healthcare, information & communication technologies and logistics.
Award recipients were identified based on in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research conducted by Frost & Sullivan's analysts. Companies are typically studied on their revenues, market share, capabilities, and overall contribution to the industry in order to identify best practices.
The findings of the detailed evaluation for the healthcare and ICT sectors were presented to a panel of independent judges comprising influential personalities and leaders in Malaysia in the respective industry, to decide the recipient for each category.
