Exact Macola 10 ERP supports the evolution of customers' business with its scalability
MOUNTAIN VIEW, California, Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) market for the food and beverage industry, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Exact with the 2015 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Leadership. Exact's well-integrated Exact Macola 10 ERP solution is a truly dynamic, configurable and customizable ERP solution that helps food and beverage manufacturers easily account for process variances. In addition, it enables them to save time, eliminates human errors and delays inherent in paper-based tasks, as well as creates a user-friendly work experience that is accessible at any time and from anywhere.
"The core function of any ERP product is tracking process flow on the shop floor. Exact extended this function by adding Exact Synergy to Exact Macola 10," said Frost & Sullivan Global Vice President David Brousell. "As a standalone product, Exact Synergy offers customer resource management (CRM), document management and process flow. When integrated into the core Exact Macola 10 product, it allows the ERP system to perform operations that give customers access to the back end of workflows."
Another noteworthy attribute of Exact Macola 10 is the automation of food and beverage production, which it achieves by employing Exact Event Manager. Exact Synergy and Exact Event Manager are integrated within the Exact Macola 10 solution. The front end of Exact Macola 10 utilizes interactive dashboards called workspaces, with the ability to analyze and offer actionable intelligence. For instance, if the number of items falls below the required levels, the solution notifies the buyer responsible for maintaining inventory and identifies substitute items.
Exact Macola 10 workspaces are built on SQL server reporting services (SSRS), which makes them dynamic and configurable by anyone with SSRS skills. Exact has been able to tie workspaces closely with workflows and make their coordinated functioning seamless.
"Through workspaces, Exact has made operations more role-specific," noted Brousell. "Employees in different roles can setup workspaces that are specific to them as an individual or for everyone in similar roles. In addition, workspaces are fully portable – working in both browsers and mobile."
Meanwhile, Exact has strived to deliver further enhanced value by competitively pricing its Exact Macola 10 offering. It made this possible by integrating core ERP functionality with CRM, human resources management, document management, workflow, and automation capabilities into a complete solution for a single price point vs. multiple add-on modules.
The roadmap ahead for Exact Macola 10 focuses on providing more functionality through Web services, enhanced mobile functionality, and localization for the Latin America market. Overall, the company's ability to enhance the quality of experience for customers through a comprehensive product portfolio and continuously create innovative products with best-in-class capabilities has clearly positioned Exact for sustained growth in the North American food and beverage ERP market.
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has developed a product with innovative features and functionality, gaining rapid acceptance in the market. The award recognizes the quality of the solution and the customer value enhancements it enables.
