~Growth, Innovation and Leadership APAC 2013: The Journey to Visionary Innovation~
SINGAPORE, Oct. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Frost & Sullivan's flagship community of visionaries, innovators and leaders, GIL Global, held its 2013 Asia Pacific congress on 17 October 2013 at the St. Regis Hotel, Singapore. This year's annual gathering focused largely on how CEOs and their management teams can uncover growth opportunities for the present and future by learning how to leverage innovation as a resource to address global challenges.
Through the continuous flow of new ideas and fresh perspectives amidst a culture of learning, sharing and engagement, participants were inspired to make a difference as they gained exposure to proven best-practices, tools and strategies
Mr. Manoj Menon, Partner & Managing Director for Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan presented his keynote address on The Journey to Visionary Innovation – Disrupt, Collapse & Transform. Mr. Menon discussed the new trends that are creating widespread disruption, collapsing industries, and transforming spaces to give context to the opportunities ahead for growth.
"Unlike any other, the GIL experience is unique because it embodies the best of what is necessary - innovation, to progress in an ever changing business landscape fraught with global challenges," said Mr. Menon.
Participants also had the opportunity to listen in on an innovative panel discussion that followed in which top CEOs shared their views on how these issues will affect companies, markets and industries in Singapore. Panellists include Tay Woon Teck, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, RSM Ethos, Pang Hee Hon, CEO, Keppel T&T and Saw Phaik Hwa, Group CEO, Auric Pacific Group Limited.
Following this, Mr. Kavan Mukhtyar, Partner for Frost & Sullivan spoke on the new game changers to help companies thrive in emerging markets. In his presentation, Mr. Mukhtyar provided a unique perspective on emerging markets and how they are helping the transition with the right positioning for the "game changing" future.
"Geographic expansion is one of the most important growth processes. Corporations are holding on to cash and with uncertain economic times, all roads lead to emerging markets. At the same time, a significant shift in the competitiveness of countries in the globalisation game is occurring," says Mr. Mukhtyar.
This year's congress also featured a segment where thought leaders shared valuable insights and industry outlook in key areas such as Automotive, Healthcare and ICT, namely Future of the Car, Connected and Preventive Healthcare; and The Internet of Things and ICT-Driven Industry Transformation.
This year's GIL 2013: Asia Pacific concluded with GIL BYTES from visionaries, innovators and leaders where they shared Golden Nuggets of Ideas, Insights and Inspirations.
