NEW YORK, June 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP announced today that Steffen Schellschmidt will join as a partner in the Finance Practice, resident in the Firm's Frankfurt office. Mr. Schellschmidt advises sponsors, issuers and alternative credit providers (debt funds) on syndicated lending transactions, including acquisition finance, corporate finance and debt restructurings.

Mr. Schellschmidt comes to Fried Frank from Linklaters, where he joined as an associate in 2005 and was promoted to managing associate in 2008, working in both Frankfurt and London. He received a diploma in law from Humboldt University in Berlin in 2002 and holds a degree in business management that he received in 2007. He is admitted to practice in Germany.
Mr. Schellschmidt is regularly recommended in the JUVE Handbook, the National Review of German Commercial Law Firms, which describes him as "a real expert," including for unitranche financings.
