LONDON, May 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Like all small businesses striving to succeed, those in bioscience need current, topical information about what is going on in their industry.
People working in the industry, particularly but not exclusively in SMEs and University Research groups, need to keep up to date with the latest news and other related information. At the moment this means visiting numerous sites which on average can take up more than 9 hours a week (as reported last year in a McKinsey report). Much of the time they are unable to find everything they are looking for and thus can miss vital information despite their efforts.
http://bio.sectorpress.com - a new online service being launched on May 19th by Sector Press Ltd provides a solution to this problem by cutting down search time considerably (as well as saving money). On day one the service will have links to a large number of sources of news stories all of which can be searched and rated. New stories will be added regularly and then kept available for a few weeks.
Access to the stories will be FREE and accessible from PC, tablet and smartphone.
Over the coming weeks and months a number of other services will be added. Announcements of new services will be put on the Home page from time to time. Users will be encouraged to take an active role in the development of the service by using a feedback feature as well as commenting on social media.
Users can easily and privately log in using their social media logins.
Chris Shilling, one of the instigators of the website - a previous senior manager for Novartis and Pfizer and now a consultant in the industry - said early on in the process of developing the concept:
"http://bio.sectorpress.com will help Biotech industry professionals improve their productivity with a fast, easy-to-use tool to help them make sense of the large amount of news published about their industry every day."
