- Blends thermal and visual images on a single display
- Uses ceramic pyroelectric sensor array
- Low resolution at low cost to make thermal imaging a common tool
This rugged product is meant to bring thermal imaging tools to everyone in the field. Its low-cost, when compared with microbolometer-based cameras, is coming with the low thermal resolution of its 15x15 pixel array. However the possibility to blend the thermal array with a visual image enhances its usage.
The thermal sensor used in this camera is a ceramic pyroelectric array. A camera module, an infrared optical lens, a 2.2 display are packed in a compact housing. The system with its accessories is supplied in a rigid transport case.
Based on a complete teardown analysis, the report provides an estimation of the production cost as well as the selling price of the product.
The Reverse Costing of the IRISYS pyroelectric array is available in a separate report.
