Mitie Group Plc Analyst Notes
On May 19, 2014, Mitie Group Plc (Mitie) released its full-year 2014 financial results, showing a better-than-expected growth in pretax profit, and said it achieved sector-leading organic growth during the period driven by new and expanded contracts, as well as completing a bolt-on acquisition in healthcare. Mitie's headline revenue during the year improved 8.2% YoY to £2.1 billion. The Company's headline profit before tax for full-year 2014 increased to £113.3 million from £108.6 million. On average, 10 analysts polled by Reuters expected the Company's headline profit before tax at £110.4 million. Mitie stated that its core facilities management business continued driving strong organic growth during the period, and its entry into healthcare segment also progressed well. In addition, Mitie reported that it is close to complete the exit from its mechanical and electrical engineering construction business, which recorded exceptional losses of £13.6 million in full-year 2014. Foxtons Group Plc Analyst Notes
On June 3, 2014, Bloomberg reported that Foxtons Group Plc's (Foxtons) CEO Michael Brown plans to quit for personal reasons about eight months after leading an initial public offering. The report stated that Brown will be replaced by the property broker's Chief Operating Officer Nic Budden, effective July 1, 2014. Brown will remain on the board as a non-executive director. Bloomberg quoted Foxtons' Chairman Garry Watts as saying that Budden is a "natural successor" and was "the unanimous choice of the board."
