FibroScan® New Generation Extends Access to Non-invasive Liver Diagnosis

Echosens extends its product range with the launch of a new FibroScan® product, the reference liver diagnosis equipment, at EASL 2016 in Barcelona:  FibroScan® 530 Compact.

The FibroScan® 530 Compact is designed to increase access to the exclusive FibroScan® VCTE™ (Vibration Controlled Transient Elastography) and CAP™ (Controlled Attenuation Parameter) technologies to monitor fibrosis, cirrhosis and steatosis. As a mobile, easy-to-handle and battery-operated device, FibroScan® 530 Compact extends availability for patients without access to centers with FibroScan® capabilities.  

FibroScan® is supported by over 1,300 peer-reviewed publications and is the reference for the AASLD, EASL-ALEH, and WHO guidelines liver disease.

FibroScan® products, including the new FibroScan® models, are designed with several quality control systems to support consistency of scan results, irrespective of operator or location. This delivers comparability of results across locations, FibroScan® models, and operators. This consistency provides better information to support patient management, as well as a tool for tracking of results, publishing data and clinical research.

Echosens is taking the opportunity to provide ELPA (European Liver Patients Association) with its first FibroScan® 530 Compact at its booth (2200H) during EASL 2016 (the International Liver Congress™) on 14^th April at 3:30pm. This mobile device is intended to be used for non-profit liver screening campaigns throughout Europe.
