Ex-Electronic Arts Executive Gerhard Florin Joins Kobojo as Chairman of the Newly Established Kobojo Board

Kobojo, French leader in publishing and distributing games for the Facebook platform and mobile phones, has announced the appointment of Gerhard Florin as Chairman of its newly established board of directors. Dr Florin has been Executive Vice President at Electronic Arts (EA), responsible for EA's worldwide publishing business. He will bring to Kobojo his 15 years of gaming knowledge to make the company grow internationally and become the European leader of social gaming.

Gerhard Florin held the position as Executive Vice President of Publishing for Electronic Arts from 2006 until the end of 2010. In this position, Mr. Florin led and supervised all of EA's worldwide marketing, sales and distribution activities; he was Director of the company and also part of EA's management board.

From 1996 to 2006, Mr. Florin held different positions within EA, covering responsibilities ranging from Germany, Europe, International and Asia. Prior to joining Electronic Arts, he held various positions at BMG, the global music division of Bertelsmann AG, and served as a Consultant of McKinsey, Munich.

Dr. Florin holds Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Augsburg, Germany.
