Spanish researchers have found a way to communicate with the foetus and discovered that from a very early stage, it is capable of responding in a surprising manner to musical stimuli, proving too that learning can begin in the mother's womb. The research also breaks with the universal idea that the best way for sound to reach babies is through their mothers' abdomens.
The presentation will provide unpublished images of the surprising reaction of foetuses to musical stimuli through the making of vocalisation movements.
The research and the study, which will be presented to the world in Barcelona, has been performed by a team of researchers from the Institute Marquès (http://www.institutmarques.com ) a benchmark international centre for gynaecology, obstetrics and assisted reproduction and headquartered in Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait and Spain.
