The European brand value study eurobrand2011 was presented by European Brand Institute, examining more than 3.000 brand corporations in 24 countries and 16 industries with comparisons to America and Asia.

- Vodafone (EUR 28.505 bn)
- INBEV (EUR 25.481 bn)
- Nestlé (EUR 25.418 bn)

- Telefonica (EUR 23.384 bn)
- Daimler (EUR 19.552 bn)
- Deutsche Telekom (EUR 18.102 bn)

Gerhard Hrebicek, Director of European Brand Institute summarizes the major findings:
1. Strong brands grow faster than the average
Brand value of Europe's TOP10 brand corporations increase by +11,6%. Nestlé group with +29,9%, followed by BASF (+17,6%) and Daimler (+15,4%) show the most significant brand value increase amongst the TOP10.
Europe's four essential "brand industries": Consumer Goods (+10,2%), Financial Services (+14,6%), Telecommunication (+5,4%) and Retail (+6,4%). Luxury industry shows the strongest increase with +17,6%, with an average industry growth of +8,9%.
2. Europe leading in consumer goods, America strong in IT & technology
Europe is the "continent of consumer goods", North America is strong in IT&technology - with Apple (EUR 69.658 bn) as most valuable global brand - Asia in financial services. Europe has double the quantity of brands, whereas North America shows double the value performance to Europe.
3. European countries worldwide leading in brand contribution to economy.
Brand corporations in Finland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark and Austria create the highest contribution to its economy and are therefore global leaders concerning the brand value to GDP ratio.
