Dr. Lechleiter will also retire as chairman and a member of the board of directors, effective May 31, 2017. On the same day, the company announced that the board of directors elected David A. Ricks as president and chief executive officer of the company, effective January 1, 2017. Also on July 27, 2016, the company announced that the board of directors elected Mr. Ricks as a director, effective January 1, 2017.
