DSM to increase global production capacity for Somos® 3D Printing business
ELGIN, Illinois, Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Royal DSM, a science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, announces today it will increase the capacity at its Hoek van Holland (Netherlands) site for the production of Somos® UV-curable additive manufacturing materials. This investment meets increased customer demand and reflects the growth of the 3D printing industry.
Somos® has grown with the 3D printing industry for over 20 years. As this industry continues to grow, so does the need for innovative materials. Somos® is focused on developing materials that support existing and new photopolymer-based equipment for industrial applications while moving the industry from prototyping to end use parts.
