LONDON, June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
International electrical retailer Dixons Retail (Currys, PC World) is to fully implement the unique behaviour monitoring system from Accuworks to allow monitoring, feedback and resolution of colleague performance and compliance.
Dixons Retail, one of Europe's leading specialist electrical retailers with over 600 stores in the UK alone, is enhancing its colleague performance and compliance capabilities by using Accuworks Perform to increase the frequency and visibility of colleague behaviour observations, highlight talent and spot areas for further development.
Following a successful trial across a number of sites, Dixons plan to introduce the system to retail stores on a region by region basis and are currently trialing it in other areas of the business, including the 1,000 strong contact centre in Sheffield.
Accuworks Perform facilitates a link between critical behaviours and the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) that these influence. This allows management teams to see a direct relationship between colleague behaviour and overall performance, enabling them to focus on particular behaviours to improve certain KPI's.
Dixons Retail will use the system to monitor sales, service, health and safety and other behaviours critical to delivering excellent service to the customer. By integrating Accuworks Perform with their Learning Management System, if follow up actions are necessary once an observation has been made, all learning assets, policies and procedures and videos will be available on-demand to assign to the colleague.
"The response to Accuworks Perform in the field trial stores was very encouraging," said Boyd Glover, Head of Skills Training for Dixons Retail.
Boyd continued, "Our managers feel that the system will allow them to more easily nurture their team's behaviours, having a centralised mechanism to capture, store, analyse and act on them. Because interventions can then be assigned directly to the colleagues, it minimises the time taken to spot a development need and intervene to help the colleague improve. And it provides instant feedback and recognition to the colleague when positive behaviours have been spotted. We know that learning 'on-the-job' is responsible for some of the best results in changing behaviours and Accuworks Perform facilitates this."
Managing Director of Accuworks, Jordan Ambrose commented, "Accuworks is delighted to welcome Dixons Retail as our first client in using this ground-breaking software. Like all, well respected, mature businesses they already have exemplary training processes but realised that whilst the skills of their colleagues is paramount, the behaviours required to utilise those skills to the fullest effect have to be nurtured. By using Accuworks in all areas of their business, each colleague will have the support they need to reach their true potential."
