Demand for Jandaz Cockapoos Puppies in all Colours up 25 per cent Year on Year

A dog breeder celebrating a decade of breeding cockapoos in Wales this year has reported a record year in requests for cockapoo puppies in all colours.

In the last 12 months, Jandaz Cockapoos, based in Llandysul, Ceredigion, West Wales, has watched demand for cockapoo puppies in different colours increase by 25 per cent.

Joyful and endearing, the Cockapoo - a cross of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle - is the original 'designer dog' and is popular with celebrities. Dating back to the 1960s, the cockapoo is people-oriented, intelligent enough to train easily and hardly sheds.

Jandaz Cockapoos founder Janice Griffiths, who began breeding cockapoo puppies in 2004, said: "Cockapoos come in lots of colours and red or apricot has typically been the most popular. At Jandaz Cockapoos, we only breed American or English Show cockapoos and this year we've seen an increase of a quarter in requests made to us for a whole range of colours. This includes black, tan, beige, red, brown, sable, and a brown color with tipping and shading in black, cream, white, silver and brindle."

All Jandaz cockapoos are vaccinated three times, health checked, micro-chipped and wormed, and all cockapoo parents are eye tested and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) cleared. Jandaz Cockapoos has sold cockapoos all over the world including Europe and the Caribbean.
