Official opening ceremony for state-of-the-art facilities in Arnhem
- Investment in growth area of product testing and certification

DEKRA is expanding its capacities in the field of product testing. The international expert organisation has held a ceremony to mark the opening of a new, state-of-the-art laboratory in Arnhem, the Netherlands. With these testing facilities, which are among the most modern in Europe, DEKRA will be able to meet customer needs for the testing and certification of a wide range of products and components even better than before.
"With this investment for the future, we are strengthening the Arnhem site as a competence centre and the headquarters for DEKRA's global activities in the business unit Product Testing and Certification," said Stefan Kölbl, Chairman of the Management Board of DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE during the opening ceremony for the new premises. "After Germany and France, the Netherlands is the third-largest market for DEKRA. The product testing business is one of the most important growth drivers for the DEKRA Group."

The seven-storey building complex is situated to the west of Arnhem close to the A12 motorway, where it comprises 14,000 m2 of office and laboratory space and is home to 350 highly qualified experts. A new addition is the 4,000 m2 testing hall, which has a ceiling height up to 12 m and is equipped with various laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment for product tests that focus on electrical safety, durability and fitness for use. Amongst others, new innovative activities including environmental simulation, explosion protection and electromobility battery testing.
DEKRA is involved in many areas of business in the Netherlands. In addition to the product testing business, DEKRA also offers services in the field of explosion protection, system certification and approvals for medical products. Furthermore, DEKRA also offers automotive services at multiple sites, including vehicle damage assessments and claim settlements, vehicle assessments and HR services.
