BERLIN, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
On the 5th to the 7th of September 2012, 65 C-level executives will head to the Eurostar's Berlin Hotel for two days to attend GDS International's second Next Generation Chief Financial Officer summit in Europe (CFO EU2).
GDS International's summits are known for attracting the most well respected individuals from across the sector. Delegates in attendance are given the opportunity to network and assess the rapidly evolving CFO landscape through a series of roundtable discussions, peer-led workshops and working lunches to establish shared objectives for the year ahead.
Led by GDS International's esteemed advisory board, the NG20, this year's programme has been carefully tailored to meet the needs of the CFO today, and will cover a variety of cutting-edge topics, including business analytics in turbulent times, the CFO as a change champion, cost reduction, outsourcing and shared services, to name but a few.
There will be an unprecedented delegation at this year's event, including: Alexandre Clar, Director Global Treasury at PPG; Walter Neuhauser, CFO at GE Gas Engines; Adrian Ryan, Head of Finance Transformation at Imperial Tobacco; Ralph Jaeger, CFO at RWE; and Markus Blanka, Deputy CFO at Kuehne & Nagel. There will also be a vibrant mix of sponsors at the summit, including: Wipro, Cognizant, Deutsche Bank, IBM and Itella.
Douwe Alserda, CFO for Cargill, was an attendee at last year's event, and was particularly impressed by the exceptional calibre of attendees. He said: "The quality of the delegates was excellent. At some of the workshops and presentations I attended, you could clearly see that people are very knowledgeable."
In agreement, Adolfo Gomez Sanchez, MD for Iberia Buying Solutions, said: "We're definitely going to come away with some significant business. We've got some really good contacts, and people seem genuinely interested with what we're providing."
The summit is set to provide the perfect environment for key decision makers to liaise and collaborate with their peers, discuss organisational strategies for the future and establish meaningful working relationships with a dynamic selection of delegates, vendors and sponsors. Offering an alternative to the traditional conference format, the summit provides true innovation and value for money.
Stephanie Griffiths, Summit Director for GDS International - the global events company behind CFO EU2 - says: "The content and attendees for the CFO summit are shaping up extremely well. Given the current economic climate, the summit will provide a fantastic base for peer-to-peer discussions and innovation for enterprise level CFOs, as well as allowing them the opportunity to meet with industry leaders who can educate on the most pioneering solutions available to positively impact their bottom line."
