Storror, the world's most subscribed parkour team, released their much anticipated feature-length documentary 'Roof Culture Asia' exclusively on Vimeo on Demand on Monday.
The film showcases parkour on a stage never before seen - the rooftops of Asian megacities. It explores the mental and physical preparation parkour athletes must undertake to make impossible leaps of faith possible, enabling the public to finally understand what parkour is all about. The film was funded, produced, directed and shot entirely by the team.
Sebastien Foucan, founder of parkour and star of Casino Royale, tweeted the team to say: "To me, Roof Culture Asia is a masterpiece! Audacity, passion, questionable, controversial but refreshing, pure freedom! You are to me true pioneers who push boundaries. While everything is becoming rigid you followed your guts and made it flow again! You went where I don't have what it takes to go now, for that reason you have my eternal respect! I absolutely loved every bit of it! "
Storror member Drew Taylor said, "I don't know if anything like that will happen again, that was a crazy six weeks shooting. If you're interested in parkour, or even any sport in which you need to challenge yourself mentally, this really shows how people can push themselves to achieve insane things, not only in terms of movement but also in terms of producing a film like that, it's very meta... "
Storror is a collective of seven elite athletes with big individual characters who were drawn together by a shared passion for movement and a love of adventure. Having developed their skills for over a decade, the team has built the most iconic brand in parkour, and has a large and enthusiastic following across its social media channels. The lads pride themselves on creating the most forward-thinking and exciting parkour content available on the web. They are the only parkour collective to base all their films on their adventures in interesting locations, and by merging their skill sets they create compelling viewing that is sheer entertainment.
From breathtaking stunts in Cappadocia, Israel, Rio de Janeiro, California and Sweden, to a barefoot parkour challenge at home, the lads' insatiable appetite for adventure has lead to Storror becoming the most travelled and exciting parkour team on the planet.
