Cornwall Hotel Named Best in Europe for Families

TripAdvisor reveals best family-friendly properties worldwide

TripAdvisor®, the world's largest travel site*, today announces the winners of its 2012 Travellers' Choice® Hotels for Families, honouring the best family-friendly hotels in 25 markets around the globe, including Europe and Britain.  

Cornwall reigned triumphant, laying claim to Europe's best hotel for families, The Sands Resort Hotel & Spa in Newquay.  The only other British property to feature in the European list was also Cornish - Bedruthan Steps Hotel, in Mawgan Porth, took 12th place.  

The Sands Resort Hotel & Spa and Bedruthan Steps were additionally named winner and runner-up in the British list, followed by Blackpool's Doric Hotel in third place, Isle of Arann's Auchrannie Spa Resort in fourth and Jersey's Merton Hotel in fifth.
