Wood Group Plc Analyst Notes
On July 1, 2014, Wood Group Plc (Wood Group) announced that its group company - Wood Group Kenny (WGK) has received an engineering services contract for supporting Tullow Ghana Limited and its partners through the execution phase of the Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme project in Ghana. Wood Group informed that WGK will offer subsea, umbilical, risers, flowlines engineering services, specialist technical support and technical assurance services to Tullow. Steve Wayman, CEO, WGK said, "We see this as a very significant award from a number of perspectives. Lonmin Plc Analyst Notes
On June 24, 2014, Lonmin Plc (Lonmin) signed a multi-year wage agreement with the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union. Lonmin informed that the three-year agreement, effective from October 1, 2013 to June 30, 2016, has increased the lowest underground basic salary by ZAR1,000 per month per year and the living-out allowance will increase from ZAR1,950 to ZAR2,000 per month in the first year and constant thereafter for the agreement duration. The agreement has ended the five month strike negatively affected the South African platinum industry. Ben Magara, CEO, commented, "The signing of today's agreement brings to an end the hardship suffered by all stakeholders, the country, our communities, and in particular our employees. We believe that signing this agreement with our majority union is the only way forward in re-building our business." Polymetal International Plc Analyst Notes
