Bonnie - who, as Ginny Weasley, starred in all the Harry Potter films - is a guest of Chengdu Municipal Administration of Tourism and Chengdu Culture and Tourism Group, visiting many of Chengdu's must-see sights on her three-day visit. The highlight of the trip is a hands-on encounter with adult and baby pandas at Chengdu's famous panda sanctuary.

Chengdu is the home and natural habitat to the giant panda. Of the estimated 1,000 giant pandas in existence, 85% are in the Chengdu area.

"In its first year, British Airways' direct route between Chengdu and London has become incredibly popular for both business and leisure travellers to the city of Chengdu," says Chengdu Culture & Tourism Development Group L.L.C. "I'm sure the route will continue to grow from strength to strength as tourists realise the wealth of things they can experience, and the heritage, culture and beauty of Chengdu."

British Airways is the only carrier that offers a direct service between London and Chengdu and currently flies five times a week.
