Changers Presents "CO2 Fit": the Mobile App for More Fitness and Less CO2

With New Year 2015 resolutions on the horizon, Changers CO2 fit is designed for people who want to live healthier lives and, at the same time, do something measurable and positive for the environment. Changers, the company that motivates people to change their energy behavior, has launched a new mobile app that measures sustainable behavior and rewards it with Recoins, the world's first green currency based on CO2 savings. CO2 fit, which is now available on Apple iPhone and Android smartphones, calculates the net CO2 effect of cycling, taking a bus or train, or driving car and converts it into a Recoin unit for every kilogram of CO2 the user saves.

Changers motivates people to select sustainable transportation options. The user starts the app before each trip by bike, public transport, or car and receives an automatically calculated CO2 balance at the end of the trip. If you saved CO2, you are rewarded with Recoins. If you emitted CO2, for example by driving your car, your CO2 emissions are displayed as well. Afterwards, you can offset a negative CO2 balance in various ways, eg. through the use of Recoins. Motivating awards, badges & worldwide rankings round out the free offer for iOS and Android.

Users in 61 countries and 736 cities are already vying for the top spots in the Changers world ranking. From Buenos Aires to Zurich, sustainably-traveled kilometers are measured in the app and automatically added to the global balance sheets.
