Champions of Dance Emerge at the Mantri Danceotsav - II Grand Finale

The Winners of Mantri Danceotsav Season-II Announced

The Mantri Danceotsav Season-II, an exclusive dance competition for all Mantri residents and employees, came to a conclusion with the grand finale on July 14, 2012 at Palace Grounds, Bangalore. The grand finale saw 21 performances in three categories- Solo (Kids), Solo (Adults) and Group. They were shortlisted after rigorous auditions, followed by the semi-finals. Each performance had its own charm making it extremely difficult for the judges.

Each category saw tough competition amongst the participants, but in the end, the winners were well-deserved. In the children solo category, the prizes were as follows: Aadya(First prize), Trisha Nagpal (Second prize), and Mrigangi Sharma (Third place).  In the Adult Solo category, the following were awarded, Puneet Doshi (First prize), Priya Patted (Second prize) and Ramya S (Third place).  Finally, Swapna Sundaries (first), Mirchi Moms (second), The Dons and the Junglee Billies (third) won respective prizes in the group category. A cash award of Rs 60,000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 20,000 was given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize categories respectively.

The grand finale boasted of stalwarts from the dancing industry as the judges of the completion. There was Salman Khan- winner of the popular dance reality show Dance India Dance (2011), Padmini Ravi- renowned Bharatanatyam dancer and Deepthi Shetty- Director of Dance at Tarantismo Dance Academy.
