LUEDENSCHEID, Germany, February 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
CeBIT 2016, Hanover
14 through 18 March 2016
Hall 13, booth D58
As in past years, intec will take advantage of the CeBIT to showcase its products at the world's largest information technology and telecommunications trade show. The Germany-based company is one of Europe's leading suppliers of combined xDSL, Ethernet and IP measurement technology, which is marketed under the ARGUS® brand name. At this year's CeBIT, the focus will be on the xDSL combi tester ARGUS®162. This ADSL+VDSL tester is equipped with two GigE interfaces (Cu + SFP) and can additionally support copper and triple-play tests as needed, along with ISDN (BRI S/T/U, PRI/E1) and POTS. If desired, the ARGUS®162 can even be expanded to cover additional fibre interfaces (FTTx/GPON) via the SFP port. To authentically demonstrate the performance of its testers, intec will set up an actual street cabinet at its completely redesigned exhibition booth, so that visitors can experience the performance capability and ease of use of the ARGUS®162 and other high-quality ARGUS® testers first-hand for themselves.
Expanded functions for even greater ease of use
The scope of function of ARGUS® testers is expanding continually to keep pace with the demands of changing technology at all times. All ARGUS® testers from model 151 upwards cannot only update via the cloud, they can now also be equipped with a VoIP configuration wizard that greatly simplifies conversion to All-IP.
In future, LAN wiring test capability will be available as an enhancement option for ARGUS®162. This includes the wiremap function, which in conjunction with the active ARGUS®LAN-Probe can verify the correct wiring of a network.
