LONDON, June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
CCH has signed a collaborative UK agreement with leading accounting firm PwC covering the use of CCH iXBRL Review & Tag software among corporate organisations. This is for use in conjunction with PwC's new service assisting companies to tag accounts in-house.
CCH (http://www.cch.co.uk) is the leading global provider of tax, accountancy and audit information, software and services and is part of Wolters Kluwer, the global information services company.

iXBRL is the technology standard that allows company accounts to be submitted electronically to HMRC. CCH launched its iXBRL Review & Tag tool in the UK in December 2010 to meet the HMRC April 2011 deadline for mandatory e-filing of Corporation Tax returns with accounts in iXBRL format.
Jon Rowden, PwC's UK XBRL leader, says: "PwC selected the CCH Review and Tag software after an evaluation and trial of many of the tools coming to market. We selected this software as it met our requirement to be user-friendly and because it produces intuitive review documents that we expect our clients will find relatively easy to understand."
Simon Crompton, Managing Director of CCH Software, says: "The agreement between PwC and CCH provides an opportunity for companies themselves to handle the production of iXBRL-tagged sets of accounts with PwC and CCH support. PwC will provide corporate organisations with consultancy and tuition on moving iXBRL accounts preparation in-house. CCH will train the PwC teams and help promote the use of its software."
CCH's iXBRL Review & Tag tool is available to buy as a separate tool, but customers of CCH Accounts Production software get the tool as a part of their existing service.
Review & Tag works using a drag and drop interface, allowing accountants to select a tag from a list and drop it onto the appropriate data. Once produced, the resulting accounts can be filed online using CCH Corporation Tax or a third party system.
