Launched in 2008, Startups 100 was the first index of its kind - a celebration of the best in new British businesses. Now in its fourth year, the list is Startups.co.uk's biggest and most popular annual feature, counting down the top 100 startups to have launched in the last three years.
Startups editorial director, Ian Wallis, commented: "This list reeks of diversity and brilliance. Some of the startup ideas and the way in which they've been executed show business is never a closed shop - an incredibly heartening message for anyone starting a business. And for consumers and businesses alike it all leads to far more choice."
This is exactly what founder, Adam Goff, had in mind when launching Capital Living. The idea was born out of complete dissatisfaction with the options available for young professionals living in the capital and this is still very much at the centre of the company's ethos today; creating a simple, social and smart living solution. For this very reason it's quickly becoming one of the most exciting and disruptive property companies in the UK. Hitting the £1m mark in 2012 and with a track record of 70% growth year-on-year, Capital Living is looking forward to another year of expansion, with a target of increasing membership numbers to 180.
Adam Goff, founder of Capital Living explained; "We are absolutely delighted to have been named in Startups 100, and are thrilled with where we've placed. We've even come on leaps and bounds since entering the awards, having added to our team and taking some great steps forward in terms of expanding the business. This is a very exciting time for us and we hope to place even higher next year!"
Capital Living goes above and beyond the norm for most landlords; not only in terms of the properties they can offer but the lifestyle they can provide. Every house has Sky, a weekly housekeeper and all houses are finished to a very high standard. Capital Living even has parties for their members and has a benefits package for each member that includes complimentary access to private members clubs and discounts for local bars and restaurants.
With 130 existing members all with average salaries of £30,000-£60,000, the company not only provides hassle-free living solutions (bills are always included in your one-off monthly payment) but also offers advice on each local area and tips for good places to socialise. All potential members go through a vetting process to ensure that the Capital Living community remains exclusively for like-minded young professionals.
