British Classics Come out on Top as our Favourite Cars on the Big and Small Screen

The results of a poll by driving.co.uk - The Sunday Times' new website - have shown that when it comes to favourite cars from film and TV, the nation would pick James Bond's Aston Martin DB5, or Morse's Jaguar Mark 2 from the popular detective series.
The classically British Aston Martin will make its seventh outing in the latest Bond instalment Skyfall, premiering across the UK tomorrow. It was picked by a quarter of those who took part in the independent survey, beating competition from Marty McFly's Delorian and Steve McQueen's Mustang from Bullitt.
The second surprise triumph for British automotive design sees Inspector Morse's Mark 2 Jaguar recognised as the most iconic car from the small screen, over and above such distinctive models as the Pontiac Trans Am aka KITT from Knight Rider and The General Lee from The Dukes of Hazard.
The poll also revealed that almost 80% of drivers believe that a car's presence in a popular film increases the appeal of a car, with over a third saying that seeing James Bond drive an Aston Martin makes them want to own one. More than one in fifty male drivers have even bought a car they've seen in a film.
