LONDON, April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
We've had a long, chilly winter, so it's no surprise that now the sun has started making regular appearances, we Brits can't wait to get out and enjoy the warmer weather. Emma Bridgewater, the handmade kitchen and dinnerware company, has carried out a survey to find out where we're most looking forward to spreading our picnic blankets over the summer months.
On sunny days 34% of people pack up their picnic hampers and head out to relax by the riverside, while 25% of people enjoy picnicking beside the seaside and set off to the nearest beach.
The nation's top five picnic destinations are:
1. Riverside (34%)
2. Beach (25%)
3. Park (19%)
4. Back garden (12%)
5. Forest (10%)
Vikki Adair-Wright, Online Acquisitions Co-ordinator at Emma Bridgewater, says: "Our pretty and practical melamine plates and melamine mugs are perfect for picnics - whether you're going on a family day trip or just enjoying your back garden. Half the fun of having a picnic is making everything look beautiful and our range of picnicware is designed with that in mind."
Adair-Wright continues: "Our melamine collection is available in a range of patterns including polka dots, stars, hearts and Union Jacks. Made of durable material, it's ideal for children and lightweight enough to carry with you anywhere."
