Boppl Goes Live in 20 Faucet Inn Venues, Rolls Royce Leisure and a Multitude of Different Types of Outlet
LONDON, November 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Boppl, a smartphone app, allows customers to pre-order and pay for food and drink, which gives owners of bars/restaurants/cafés and hotels purchase behaviour data as well as a range of marketing tools to entice new and old customers into their venues, has gone live across Faucet Inn Group as well as non-Faucet Inn venues including takeaways Chao! Now, Burrito Bros and Roll Royce Leisure PLC. The latter service providing easy pre- ordering of food/drink and payment for 10k staff at its campus in Derby.
Faucet Inn Group prides itself on being an ever growing eclectic collection of venues, ranging from a selection of pubs, bars and hotels to restaurants and coffee establishments. Owner Steve Cox, has not only signed his 20 Faucet Inn venues up to Boppl, but is also one of Boppl's investors.
Boppl CEO, Shashi Fernando, has a proven track record in the start-up space and is a key figure in the digital industry, having been founder and CEO of Saffron Digital, a mobile technology company, which he went on to sell to mobile manufacturer HTC for $48.5 million.
Fernando states "We have been extremely fortunate to have been building the app, ordering process and menu systems, whilst working with Faucet Inn as our testing ground. We believe the experience we've had across a broad range of eateries and bars has led to a comprehensive service with the ability to scale rapidly". Commenting that apps like Orderella that have been receiving heavy press and launching "will start to suffer from not having the experience in mobile app delivery and breadth of menus to deal with. What differentiates Boppl from competitors are its extensive selection of modifiers, which provides more personal orders, for example requesting no ice.' Boppl prides itself on creating the best experience for its customers. As well as the ability to pre-order food for a set time, be notified when it's ready.
Over the past few months Boppl has been working very hard on making the operational side as smooth as possible, from the training of staff to menu management to ensure the venue on-boarding experience is a swift and scalable one.
They have also been integrating with Epos providers to facilitate venues to adopt Boppl through their current till systems with minimum disruption to service routines and stock tracking.
With a large number and variety of venues going live over the next 3 months, Boppl focus is on driving consumer uptake through in-venue and digital marketing, whilst maintaining its ambition of signing up as many venues as possible.
Boppl has 100 committed venues and feels it has enough traction with others to quote an increase to a minimum of 600 in the next 6 months. This will include international launches in Scandinavia/Australasia and the Middle East.
