Innovative fraud prevention service provides mobile operators with proactive control over fraud attempts within outbound roaming voice traffic

The telecoms sector is behind the curve when it comes to managing and combatting fraud in roaming, such as IRSF (International Revenue Share Fraud). This is due in part to the inherent nature of roaming, which introduces delays in fraud detection ranging anywhere between a few hours and a few days. The Voice Roaming Firewall solution is the first of its kind in the industry. This is achieved by harnessing the strategic position of BICS as a hub of roaming signalling traffic by automatically monitoring the subscriber's voice call attempts. The service taps into BICS' comprehensive and uniquely crowdsourced database, covering 50+ million fraudulent numbers around the world.
