- launch of 'Beezy Stories' makes internal communications more compelling, interactive and magazine-like -
SAN FRANCISCO, May 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Beezy, enablers of the intelligent workplace for Office 365, have announced the launch of Beezy Stories, a news creation and publishing tool for internal communications teams.
Beezy Stories offers powerful visual, social and editing features to bring company news, updates and announcements to life. A combination of text, photos and videos can be used to present internal updates as magazine articles which encourages employees to comment, like and share with their peers. The scheduling, approval and pipeline of news is managed within a workflow system and articles can be published in multiple languages, company-wide or tailored to specific audiences. Beezy Stories is also mobile-first allowing employees to easily catch up on company news while on the move.
"People love stories - they're engaging, authentic and they bring us together," said Maximo Castagno, Chief Product Officer at Beezy. "The success of Instagram Stories and now Facebook Stories reflect an appetite for information to be relayed in visually beautiful, bite-sized chunks that are easily understood and that people want to share. It's very hard to recreate that consumer experience at work through email or an intranet. This means that internal news is often a very flat, formal business - which of course makes employees switch off."
"With Beezy Stories, an address from the CEO at once becomes more personal, new initiatives encourage feedback and attractive visuals make small updates more noticeable. Suddenly what used to be a swath of check-box company announcements become potential conversations with a more engaged workforce."
Beezy Stories is fully integrated with Beezy's enterprise collaboration suite, allowing the benefits of storytelling to be quickly and easily added. Key features include:
Stories Admin Panel: a record of what has been authored and published, enabling a controlled approvals process
Channels: managers can select the teams, departments or groups that they wish to publish to and employees can choose the ones they want to follow
In-article formatting: change font type and size, highlight and customise all within your draft. Embed videos and images with ease
Tags: add themes and topics to organise content and make it easily discoverable
News carousel: curate and rotate the articles that are featured prominently and showcase other stories in mosaic view
Beezy's strong partnership with Microsoft allows it to work in alignment with the company's roadmap, leveraging the latest SharePoint innovations such as Modern pages and News and enhancing SharePoint's functionality to maximise the effectiveness of communication and collaboration in the workplace.
Beezy Stories was previewed at Intra.NET Reloaded in Berlin and Boston in April and is available from today for customers using SharePoint 2013, 2016, and SharePoint Online as part of Office 365. For further information contact Beezy at email@example.com, or watch the video at http://www.beezy.net
