AXTEL Mexico Prepares Transition to IMS With StreamWIDE Call Completion Services Platform
LYNDHURST, New Jersey, September 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
StreamWIDE (FR0010528059 - ALSTW), the specialist in next generation value-added telephony solutions for telecom operators announced that its Call Completion Services Platform has been selected by AXTEL, a Mexican telecommunications company that provides Information and Communications Technology Solutions to over 1.5 million residential and business RGUs (Revenue Generating Units).
The choice of StreamWIDE's natively SIP-based software solution perfectly aligns with AXTEL's network evolution strategy. The previous legacy voicemail platform could not meet mandatory requirements for future network architecture and connectivity; additionally, it was threatened by obsolescence. Since StreamWIDE assumed live operations during the first quarter of 2012, AXTEL's customers have benefited from uninterrupted service and AXTEL is now optimizing its traffic routing on an IP environment.
"StreamWIDE ensured a seamless migration of our existing voicemail service. Neither platform downtime nor customer complaints were recorded, proving both robustness of the solution and quality of StreamWIDE Professional Services team," commented Mr. Alejandro Del Hoyo Menchaca, Sr. Manager for Technology Planning at AXTEL.
The flexibility of StreamWIDE product architecture, largely based on web-services will enable the operator to differentiate themselves on the Mexican market with a wider canvas of innovating features.
"Opportunities for advanced voice services in the Mexican market are largely untapped, and we are confident that with the investment in StreamWIDE NextGeneration call termination platform AXTEL will significantly strengthen its competitive advantages," declared Juan Sanchez, VP SalesNorthern CALA for StreamWIDE.
