Music Publisher, Audio Network, is delighted to join forces with new Indie record label, Cuckoo Records, in a deal to record and promote exciting new commercial artists. The first wave of releases this spring includes EP's from Little Violet, Cissie Redgewick and Annie Drury. Little Violet's debut release is live now.
Audio Network's Juliette Squair said, "This is such an exciting venture for Audio Network. We are always looking to develop our model and this deal allows us to bring our customers high quality music from commercial artists and at the same time, provide a route for these artists to a global audience in the modern music space."
Bob Bradley from Cuckoo Records said, "To have the Audio Network team onboard allows us to break our artists into the mainstream and allows Audio Network's customers an opportunity to integrate commercial artists into their campaigns. The difference with our releases from other Indies is the depth and detail that has gone into the alternate mixes and edits, giving media clients the option to use numerous alternatives, edits and stings plus having the producers and artists available to make bespoke tweaks."
Little Violet is the new Electro Swing sensation who's been making big waves in that scene. Her first release is the 'feel good' double A side 'Don't Stop'. Uplifting, sassy and fun with a nod to the 1920s, it's been remixed by scene leaders Odjbox, DJ Incontrol and Mr.Edwardz. She has already caught the attention of the Godfather's of Electro Swing, Gramophonedzie, and White Mink, Black Cotton's Nick Hollywood.
She said, "I am so excited about the chance to get my music out to a really wide audience and I love working in this genre! Electro swing is becoming more and more popular, what's not too like? ?It has all the ingredients for yumminess - a sprinkle of swing, catchy melodies, a cheeky bass line and bouncy beats - I don't think Jazz or Electro Swing will ever go out of style."
Annie Drury was born into a musical family from an Irish folk background. Her music is Piano based - youthfully simple yet emotionally powerful. The first release from Annie is a wonderful 4 track EP that introduces her talents as a songwriter, pianist and world-class vocalist. Her timeless vocal style has been likened to Kate Bush and Adele. Each song features the hottest quartet in London, the Dirty Pretty Strings. Many top remixers will have worked on her tracks, including Dubstep pioneer, Jack Sparrow. Still only 20, it's only a matter of time before Annie starts appearing on the music world's Radar.
Cissie Redgwick's music brings back memories of the Swing and Boogie Era. She creates close three part harmonies accompanied by stunning musicians all mixed up with beats and modern production techniques. Her first release is the irresistible Gimme that Swing with Mister Mister, an equally strong B-Side, drawing influences from the Andrews Sisters and Nancy Sinatra. Remixes will come from Odjbox, Mr.Edwardz and Smokey Joe & the Kid.
