Athens International Airport Utilizes ObjectVideo Analytics for Business Intelligence and Operations Management

- Epikinonia Ltd. incorporates key OV functions into its solution, allowing airport management greater control of security, retail and gate operations

This video analytics-enabled solution is part of AIA's Video Content Analytics (VCA) project and it is the first one of its size implemented in Greece.

With a goal to improve overall passenger experience, the AIA system employs ObjectVideo's Event Counting Suite™ for providing curbside dwell time of arriving vehicles, queue length in screening areas, dynamic waiting time and people counting in open space commercial and retail areas. AIA's Information Technology & Telecommunications Business Unit (IT&T) is now using real-time analytics data from the OV® Event Counting Suite for decision-making and operational business intelligence, e.g. time-to-gate and other applications to improve the passenger experience and increase revenue from retail.
