Russell Todhunter, CEO of Atech Support, was given the opportunity to speak with attendees of The Business show in November of last year. He gave a seminar speech to SME business owners called "Learn how to expand your business by outsourcing".
In the speech, Russell shared his knowledge and experiences of how he has grown his IT Services and Support Company. He goes into the gritty details of how he managed to shift away from the traditional IT Support break-fix model to an unlimited 24/7 IT Support services package.
"Head up, neck down. Do not outsource what makes your business great. The brains of the operation, never, ever outsource. You can get rid of the arms, you can get rid of the legs, but you cannot get rid of the head. Just don't do it, because that's what makes your company great. Employ staff before you need them, golden rule."

Jane Sheffield, Operations Director at Atech Support mentions: "Who doesn't sell? But do you know who are selling to? They are not just businesses; you are selling to people, so you have to start treating them as people."
First time fix is a critical benchmark that all Managed Service Providers (MSPs) normally work towards. It is hard to find UK IT support companies which are able to answer most calls in less than 30 seconds. Speed matters for the SME community.
Charlotte Keating, Atech Support's Service Delivery Manager adds: "We've had so many SMEs expressing that when they call for IT Support; they are ignored by the Service desk team. It makes me think, what is the purpose of having a desk when you are ignoring the people who are calling?"
As Atech Support was born out of the two co-founders musing over a gap in the market for an IT company focused on absolute service, this IT Support Company is now helping out by extending blue chip level IT Support to the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) community.
