BALTIMORE, June 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ASC Partners (www.ascllc.net), has purchased ISMS Solutions (www.ismssolutions.com) and its Conformance Works software platform. ISMS is the first to offer a data security tool aimed at data security compliance for supply chains.
Linthicum, MD-based ASC Partners, a creator and operator of various B-to-B content and advertising businesses, announced today it has purchased ISMS Solutions of Miami, Florida, a consulting and software solution for businesses seeking to comply with data security measures including HIPPA, ISO 27001 and other information security standards. The company will be headquartered in Linthicum, MD, with offices in Washington, D.C., Miami and Chicago.
ISMS offers consulting plus an end-to-end software solution enabling businesses to cost effectively comply with data security measures critical to attaining secure data systems.
Jason Clark, founder of ISMS, who will remain president of the company said, "We consult with companies both large and small on compliance issues, both pursuant to audit or in response to legal mandates. At ISMS, we felt partnering with a company familiar with the rapidly evolving regulatory and legal landscape with extensive experience in the B-to-B marketplace was a critical next step for our company. ASC fits the bill exquisitely."
There is no magic bullet in data security; it is about instituting policies that create a hygienic data supply chain. ISMS offers companies and their vendors the ability to navigate the dangerous waters ahead, through a combination of consultative services and installed software tools, which are constantly updated as cyber threats evolve. The solution is particularly well-suited for smaller and medium-sized businesses facing the daunting process of becoming security compliant to retain existing contracts as well as secure new ones, and assists large corporations in ensuring the security of the vendors within their supply chains.
Mihai Voicu of Telit Wireless Solutions, a customer of ISMS Solutions said, "We have been impressed with ISMS and find using the Conformance Works software solution immensely helpful across all parts of our organization: sales, IT and legal. We see great things ahead for ISMS."
ASC Partners was founded in 2004 after the successful sale of the founders' (Stephen Carr Davis and Anthony N. O'Brien) first venture, Federal Document Clearinghouse (FDCH), to Congressional Quarterly (CQ) creating CQ Transcriptions. CQ Transcriptions along with CQ was sold to the Economist Group in 2009. ASC Services still continues to supply CQ Roll Call and other media companies with mission critical information.
O'Brien and Davis have run several other ventures together including several years as co-CEOs of Cygnus Business Media and have recently sold BBN Solutions to Madison Logic. Besides CQ Roll Call, they have also successfully partnered with the Associated Press, WPP, and other global data organizations.
