arrows biomedical Deutschland GmbH is to implement Sysmex Bioscience's ICEBREAKER technology in its biomaterial-preservation practice. Using Perma Cryo products fits the company's philosophy of only using state-of-the-art technology and is in line with its drive to further improve the quality of its services. It will also streamline arrows' documentation process.
The ICEBREAKER solution has been developed for the smart and durable storage of cancer tissue and/or biomaterial samples in liquid form at temperatures between -80° C and -196° C in interactive sampling systems workflows.
The main reasons for arrows to use Sysmex Bioscience technology are to improve biomaterial sample quality and value for the coming years and, to fulfil innovation trends specifically required by the pharmacology research industry regarding accurate sample characterising and continuous sample information update. Combined with Perma Cryo Lighthouse mobile workstation, arrows biomedical will now be able to store cancer tissue samples with direct sample vials interaction : storing and retrieving all important sample data directly on the sample container at any time will result in better process documentation, quality assurance and storage organization. ICEBREAKER will also be applied in freezing animal tissue, which will be used as reference samples for future patenting and research ventures. As analysis kits in daily research practice improve, it will be feasible and desirable to compare previously processed reference samples, with the aim of improving the level of disease treatment.
