SAN ANTONIO, Texas, September 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
GDS International is delighted to announce that on the 3rd to the 5th of December 2012, 70 of the region's most senior executives from around the insurance sector will settle into the Barton Creek Resort & Spa, Austin, Texas, as they attend GDS International's inaugural Next Generation Insurance (NG Insurance US) summit.
Providing a refreshing contrast to the standard industry conference format, the summit will address a range of key issues presently felt by executives from the insurance space through a series of intensive workshops, peer-led panel discussions, roundtables and vibrant working lunches. As mutual focus areas are later established, delegates will be given the opportunity to participate in more intimate one-on-one meetings to create shared business relationships and operational strategies for the year ahead.
Amongst other issues, the upcoming event will focus on: Big Data, business intelligence solutions, data analytics, unified communications, cloud, policy administration, claims and legacy modernization. The program itself, which has been created by GDS International's very own advisory board - the NG20 - ensures that this year's summit is well positioned to really impact the insurance arena and set the standard for other events in the region.
The summit is an invitation-only event, ensuring that only the most established and well-respected executives will be in attendance. Some of the more senior delegates scheduled for this year's summit include: Bernd Recker, Global CIO AGCS for Allianz; Nathan Martin, MD for Travelers; John Moorefield, SVP Strategic Management for AFLAC; Steve Hunckler, Chief Claims for State Auto; Vasu Kadambi, CIO & SVP for California Casualty; and JD Johnson, SVP Corporate CIO for American National Insurance Co.
Patrick Peterson, Managing Director for Legg Mason, was a previous attendee at one of GDS International's events. He said: "I thought it was fantastic. I especially liked meeting with a lot of my peers, people in the industry. I built some good relationships." In agreement, Kevin Murphy, CTO for TIAA-CREF, said: "The networking with attendees was second to none. It was a small, intimate, senior-level group, all dealing with the same problems."
Heather Briden, Next Generation Insurance US Summit Director for GDS International - the global events company behind the event - says: "We are very excited to kick off the first ever NG Insurance Summit. There will be 70-plus C-level and VP-level executives from the top insurers in the United States, and we are hugely grateful to the session leaders for all their expertise and input in putting the program together to help create this summit's focused agenda. As the world's business-to-business summits producer, GDS is organizing 60 events in 2013 from a number of different verticals. Our summit's products are truly global, and every single one is run to the same exceptional standards."
